We are thrilled to offer our heartfelt congratulations to ChIPs co-founder and board member emeritus Michelle Lee, who was confirmed on March 9th by the US Senate as Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

Formerly the Head of Patents and Patent Strategy at Google and the first Director of the Silicon Valley USPTO, Michelle has served as Deputy Director of the USPTO since last October. Her appointment fills a two year vacancy.
