The day after she was inducted into the ChIPs Hall of Fame, former Director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Michelle Lee sat down with Bloomberg Law to discuss her new role as a visiting professor at Stanford, where she will teach a course on disruptive technologies, a joint offering of the law and engineering schools, and the critical work that needs to be done to correct the underrepresentation of women in STEM fields.

I think it’s an economic imperative and a social imperative that we tap into all of our talent. You don’t want to overlook or waste a single inventor or entrepreneur.
