Bridget Sheridan Johnson

Bridget Sheridan Johnson is an accomplished strategic business development professional with corporate and nonprofit management experience. She has led, developed, marketed and managed award-winning consumer and business-to-business magazines, websites and conferences.

Prior to joining ChIPS, Bridget founded and led the Center for Transformational Leadership within the Southern New England Conference of the United Church of Christ. She and her team curated and created leadership programs and resources for the 600+ Congregational churches in CT, MA and RI.

Bridget founded One2One Communications, LLC in 2002 and helped clients increase their revenue by identifying new ways to monetize their existing assets or through the creation of new brand extensions. Examples include event sponsorships, licensing, strategic partnerships, custom content programs and repackaged/resold digital and video assets. Clients include Investing in Women CEOs Summit, McGraw-Hill, This Old House Ventures (Time, Inc.), American Express Publishing, Hachette Filipacchi Media, ChristianPost.com, Highlights for Children, Group Publishing (America’s #1 Vacation Bible School producer) and The Reader’s Digest Association.

As a consultant to The Reader’s Digest Association, Bridget served as Publisher for the development and launch of Rick Warren’s Purpose Driven web site, magazine and community. She was then hired and promoted to Vice President and Publisher, Weekly Reader Custom Publishing, America’s #1 classroom magazine.

Prior to founding One2One, Bridget was Vice President, Group Publisher at VNU/Nielsen Business Media responsible for a $36 million business consisting of eight award-winning publications and branded websites in the architecture, design and commercial real estate fields.

Other media leadership roles have included Vice President, Sales for Hachette Digital/Phase2 Media responsible for the advertising and sponsorship revenue across Hachette’s 22 branded web sites including ElleDecor.com, WomansDay.com, CarandDriver.com and TravelHoliday.com. She also served as Publisher of I. D., The International Design Magazine, winner of the National Magazine Award for General Excellence.

With a foray into book publishing, Bridget served as Literary Agent for lifestyle guru and TV host Katie Brown’s book, Dare to See: Discovering God in the Everyday (Hachette/Faith Words, Sept. 2019).

Bridget is a co-founder and Director of Urban Samaritan, Inc., a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization that was formed to help the homeless and in-need in New York City. Founded in 2005 in partnership with a sewing workshop within a women’s homeless shelter, Urban Samaritan takes used advertising banners from museums and cultural institutions and creates tote bags that are then sold in the gift shop of the museum that donated the banner. Partnerships have grown from three New York City-based museums to over 50 national museums, corporations and cultural institutions. She is the recipient of the Municipal Art Society of New York’s Livable City Award.
