Karen Royer

Karen oversees ChIPs’ operations and the team of staff, contractors and volunteers. She brings over 20 years of experience in professional services, nonprofit and technology-focused organizations, including at Anita Borg Institute, a global nonprofit dedicated to advancing women technologists. She co-produced the 2015 Grace Hopper Celebration (GHC), the world’s largest technical conference for women in computing. At The Amplify Lab, she led the organization’s operations and client engagement experience. Karen also held positions at PwC, Navigant Consulting and TMFinancial Forensics, where she advised clients on a range of financial and economic damages issues arising complex intellectual property disputes and business transactions. An advocate for the advancement of women, education and youth, Karen has served in the capacity of board member and volunteer for organizations that include Leading Women in Technology, Girls Inc., the All Stars Project and Playworks.
