ChIPs Women in IP Global Summit
October 2, 2013
Mandarin Oriental
Washington, DC
We are delighted to report that our second annual ChIPs Women in IP Global Summit was a great success thanks to our extraordinary speakers, enthusiastic attendees, and generous sponsors.
On October 2, at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Washington, DC, over 300 women from more than 100 companies and organizations came together to share information, network, and show strong support for our fellow women in IP. We had an impressively diverse group in attendance this year including in-house counsel from technology, telecommunications, media and pharmaceutical companies. Our government attendees included employees from the ITC, PTO, DOJ, House of Representatives, Copyright Office and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Along with private practice partners and associates, law students from UC Berkeley, Harvard and George Washington were in attendance.
Substantive sessions were balanced with time for networking and opportunities to enjoy complimentary headshots, gift bags and delicious culinary tastings. Panels featuring judges, government officials, general counsel and legal professionals were informative and inspiring and received rave reviews. We heard from many that both speakers and attendees enjoyed an energizing day and left the Summit feeling empowered and excited about the future.
We are so humbled by the tremendous amount of interest in this year’s Women in IP Global Summit. We hope to see you all again next year!
