Nearly 20 years ago, Dr. Marisa Weiss – Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Breastcancer.org – and BakerHostetler Partner Nancy Rubner Frandsen began working together to create and secure a number of engaging and memorable trademarks for Dr. Weiss and Breastcancer.org, now the world’s No. 1 online and mobile resource for breast cancer information and support.
Join us at the next ChIPs Philadelphia Chapter event, where Dr. Weiss will talk about her inspiring work, which has helped enhance and save the lives of women everywhere, and Ms. Frandsen will provide anecdotes on securing and protecting Dr. Weiss’ trademarks. From “Breastcancer.org” to “Think Pink, Live Green” (helping women reduce their environmental risks of breast cancer) to “Taking Care of Your ‘Girls’” (the theme of an educational program and book directed to the next generation of women), these programs have helped make Breastcancer.org the go-to resource for those seeking breast cancer information. With the help of Ms. Frandsen, Dr. Weiss most recently applied for the trademark “Socanna,” to brand her research on the science of medical cannabis.
Space is limited, so spots will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
