Meet Our Speakers:

Susy Mendoza began her in-house career at Nordstrom as a generalist, where she learned the ropes by supporting supply chain, brand divisions, e-comm and social media. Eventually she focused her practice on tech and digital; and her day-to-day includes various contract negotiations, building and managing a global privacy program and educating business partners on standard marketing pitfalls. She is currently a Director of Legal at lululemon.

Kathy Sheehan is Vice President and Associate General Counsel for Compliance and Customer Trust at Amazon.com.  Kathy leads the team responsible for the design and administration of Amazon’s anti-corruption and business conduct and ethics programs. She is also the lead attorney advising the company regarding fraud and information security legal issues.

Melanie Seelig joined the firm of Knobbe Martens as a partner in the Seattle office in January 2008. She has extensive experience in comprehensive client counseling and management in all aspects of intellectual property, including U.S. and international patent and trademark prosecution, copyright prosecution, trade secret matters, enforcement and agreement work involving all areas of intellectual property and due diligence related to mergers and acquisitions.   Melanie has extensive experience providing patent landscape analyses as well as infringement, validity and clearance analyses and opinions.

Lynn Hashimoto leads the legal team supporting the Developer Tools & Services businesses in Microsoft’s Cloud+AI division. Flagship products and services include Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code (one the most active open source projects on GitHub), .NET and Azure DevOps.

Lynn is also the Commercial Legal Lead for GitHub, a company acquired by Microsoft in October 2018 and the home for millions of developers who want to collaborate on open source projects.
