ChIPs Network

ChIPs Week Inspires in D.C.

Last month, emerging professionals gathered in the DC area for an exciting week of ChIPs events. Women in the first 15 years of their tech and IP law careers explored developments in their fields, learned from one another and built their networks.

With the Winning the Work masterclass, attendees learned how to deliver powerful pitches and cultivate strong client relationships. The following day, guests convened at Amazon HQ2 in Arlington, Virginia for the ChIPs NextGen Summit, our signature annual event for new leaders. From a keynote speech by two FTC Commissioners to sessions on AI and self-care, this year’s summit offered unique opportunities for professional growth. Throughout the week, ChIPsters forged lasting bonds at events in and around DC.

Speakers and guests praised this year’s ChIPs week, highlighting the value of programming that united, educated and inspired leaders from around the world. “I’m grateful to have expanded my network, and more importantly, my circle of friends, to include so many women who have accomplished so much and continue to do amazing things,” said Hannah Follender—who was so inspired, she’s founding a ChIPs chapter in Utah.

Rachel Cohen of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP introduced one of the panels in a personally significant full-circle moment. “ChIPs was foundational to my own career, and coming back to support the next generation was a treat,” Cohen explains.

At the NextGen Summit, Kadeejah Kelly-Previl heard the call to “lean into those who want to see you flourish.” Like so many others, she’s motivated by the spirit of community and excellence she experienced at ChIPs week. “I’m leaving more informed, with a wider network of inspiring women, and with excitement for next year’s summit!”
