ChIPs Network marked a milestone on Thursday, September 17, with the launch of two new chapters on the same day: the ChIPs Iberian Peninsula Chapter in Madrid and the ChIPs Utah Chapter in Salt Lake City.

The Iberian Peninsula Chapter launch was held at the Gómez-Acebo & Pombo office in Madrid, bringing together professionals from across the intellectual property and technology sectors. Organizers said the new chapter is expected to strengthen diversity, leadership and collaboration throughout the region as it builds out programming for members in Spain and Portugal.

On the same day, the ChIPs Utah Chapter held its own launch celebration, drawing both longtime ChIPs members and newcomers to support the organization’s mission of advancing women in IP. Attendees and allies expressed strong interest in getting involved as the chapter builds its local programming.

The two launches bring ChIPs Network’s total chapter footprint further into new regions and mark continued growth for the organization, which supports women in intellectual property and technology through networking, mentorship and career development programming.

The Utah Chapter launch was generously sponsored by Michael Best & Friedrich LLP, Foley & Lardner LLP, Ray Quinney & Nebeker, Dorsey & Whitney, LLP and Workman Nydegger. Thank you to the Iberian Peninsula Chapter’s event sponsors, NLP, Bird and Bird Spain and GAP Spain.

Membership in ChIPs Network is free, and both the Iberian Peninsula and Utah chapters are welcoming new members to upcoming events.
