CHICAGO – Women in Greater Chicago whose professions relate to law and technology have another means to connect and address the advancement of women in the field, following the launch of ChIPs Chicago chapter on Feb. 7, 2018.
The new chapter’s inaugural event, “A View from the Top of the Climb,” featured a panel of two CEOs and two general counsel who discussed the experiences of leading women in the legal and technology industries. The executives also spoke about the ways they effect change in their organizations and in their communities. More than 60 women attended the event and proceeding reception, which was hosted by Trading Technologies International and sponsored by law firm BakerHostetler.
The founding committee for the Chicago chapter comprises Monika Dudek, Director, Patent Portfolio Development and Management, Trading Technologies International Inc.; Jennifer M. Moderated by Kurcz, the panel included Stacey Kacek, CEO, Vertex Analytics; Elena Kraus, Senior VP and General Counsel, Walgreens; Susan C. Levy, Executive VP and General Counsel, Northern Trust Corporation; and Jennifer L. Sherman, President and CEO, Federal Signal Corporation.
