ChIPs Brings Women in IP Together at IAM's IPBC San Diego

It was a joy to be present at IAM‘s IPBC in San Diego, both presenting and hosting a special reception for Women in IP.

The conference saw strong engagement throughout, with excellent audience participation across sessions. That energy was reflected not only in the discussions but also in the informal networking moments across the event.

ChIPs welcomed four members to the conference and three to IPBC Europe, each contributing as speakers throughout the week-long program:

  • Monica Phillips, ChIPs Director of Content, Learning and DEI, spoke at the masterclass “The Retention Revolution.”
  • Michelle K. Lee, ChIPs founder and board emeritus member, joined the panel “AI for IP Transformation.”
  • Kathi Vidal, a founding ChIPs member, took the stage for the panel “Women in IP Live — IP Powerhouses Disclose Secrets to Success.”

ChIPs also co-sponsored the Women in IP Reception with IAM, drawing more than 110 attendees from across the IP world for an evening of connection. The reception was a highlight of the week, creating a fantastic atmosphere and meaningful opportunities to connect.

Events like this are exactly why ChIPs exists: to build the relationships and support systems that help women in IP and beyond grow into the leaders they are capable of being.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, spoke on panels or joined us at the reception. We’re grateful for the continued collaboration and energy our members bring to the program — our community comes with us, wherever we go.
