Attendees of our 2026 NextGen Summit

A Season of Visibility

Spring is a time for growth, and this April, women in IP are poised to flourish on a global stage. At ChIPs, we’re excited to be a part of so many gatherings and events that celebrate new beginnings and offer professionals like you a chance to connect and thrive.

As part of our initiatives for women in the first 15 years of their careers, we’re hosting our annual NextGen Summit on April 16, and it promises to be a memorable highlight in an exciting month. This year’s theme, Rooted and Rising: Leading with Intention, speaks to what it means to excel in tech and IP law today. Covering new professional considerations in AI as well as perennial boundary-setting and relationship-building skills, the Summit is a way for our community to stay current and ready for what’s next.

The Summit is always an outstanding opportunity to learn and build connections, but ChIPs is giving women in IP even more ways to network and learn this month. The day before the Summit, new law professionals in the Washington, D.C. area can attend Winning the Work, a masterclass in client development. California ChIPsters are encouraged to join us for events with Loyola Law School in Los Angeles and Santa Clara Law School, where we’ll celebrate women leaders in our field. Our April events for new lawyers have a global reach, and in Australia, we’ll be hosting an interactive session on advancements for junior counsel; meet us in Melbourne or online.

ChIPs supports women with the resources, partnerships and programming to forge meaningful careers—and this month, the world’s eyes are on IP. Later in April, World Intellectual Property Day promises to highlight the role of IP in sports, giving women practitioners much to discuss.

Throughout this month and beyond, ChIPs is taking action at the global and local levels, equipping the next generation of leaders with essential skills and connections. We hope to see you at one—or more!—of these exceptional events as we work together to make a difference.

Best regards,

Joan Toth
