Patent practitioners can use their learned experience to increase diversity in the field of patent law by becoming a mentor to women studying to become patent attorneys and agents.

Patent Pathways™ is a Diversity & Inclusion Program dedicated to increasing numbers of registered Black women patent attorneys and agents. The goal is to provide each participant with the tools to take and pass the patent bar and begin their pathway into a career in patent law.

In addition to providing the practical tools to needed to pass the patent bar exam, Patent Pathways™ pairs all participants with mentors to provide individual support throughout their pathway. Mentors set up sessions with their mentees based on their own schedules and availability. Patent Pathways is currently seeking mentors for the start of the program in June 2023.
