ChIPs MEMBERSHIP

ChIPs is a global community with thousands of members and more than a dozen regional chapters in the United States and abroad. Individual membership is open to professionals and students who share our mission of advancing and connecting women in technology, law and policy.

Our community of members includes general counsels, chief IP officers, chief litigation officers, and chief privacy officers, policymakers, lawmakers, regulators, academics, students, board directors, technologists innovators, investors, corporate executives and entrepreneurs.

As a benefit of membership, ChIPs members have access to our online member community.  This community is for members to connect and network. In the community, members can join one or more of our regional chapters, learn about upcoming events and connect with each other through online discussions.  

Professional Member

As a professional member you will join our community of more than 3,000 women in law, tech and policy. For access to our programming and networking opportunities, we encourage all members to affiliate with one (or more) of our thirteen regional chapters. Each regional chapter organizes multiple events per year, focusing on networking, legal education, community outreach and professional development.

To apply now, please submit the ChIPs Member Application. A ChIPs team member will notify you of the status of your member application within seven business days of receiving your application.

Law Student Member

To qualify for student membership, individuals must be actively enrolled in law school and demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in tech, law or policy. Student members are required to affiliate with a regional chapter. At this time, only chapters in Boston, Minneapolis, New York, Orange County/San Diego, Philadelphia, Silicon Valley and Texas are accepting student affiliates. As an affiliate of one of these chapters, you will receive invitations to attend chapter programs and events that are open to students.

Proof of status as a student must be demonstrated each year. Acceptable forms of proof are transcripts, schedules and/or scholarship packages.
