Chicago

Founded in February 2018, the Chicago Chapter has grown to include a robust membership of female leaders in tech, law and policy. Its inaugural event featured a lively reception and panel discussion titled “A View from the Top of the Climb.” The Chapter holds several events throughout the year.  Past events have included a mixology networking reception, an in-house dinner, and small-group discussions on diversity and inclusion.

The Pacific Northwest Chapter formed in 2014 as one of the first ChIPs Chapters! The Pacific Northwest Chapter connects hundreds of members who gather for events focused on networking, professional development, legal education and more. The Chapter’s member community ranges from in-house counsel, private counsel and judges, to business development administrators, government officials and C-level executives. Our members come from a large range of industries, including information technology, computer software and electronics, footwear and apparel, automotive, and manufacturing.

Chapter sponsors include Amazon.com, Knobbe Martens, Microsoft, Perkins Coie and T-Mobile. Most of the events are held in the Seattle/Portland region.

The Philadelphia Chapter launched in February 2019 with a reception and panel discussion entitled “Breaking the Mold,” which is to be held at Comcast Technology Center and will be sponsored by Baker & Hostetler LLP.  The Philadelphia membership is growing fast, drawing interest from around the region, which includes numerous Fortune 500 companies, over 300 startups, and over 100 degree-granting institutions.

Events held throughout the year are led by the Philadelphia Chapter’s Steering Committee, which includes women from Comcast Cable Communications, LLC; Hewlett Packard Enterprise; Teva Pharmaceuticals; Bristol-Myers Squibb Co.; Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP; University of Pennsylvania; Heraeus Incorporated; Draeger Medical Systems Inc.; Eagle Pharmaceuticals; Farnan LLP; Dechert LLP; and Baker & Hostetler LLP.

The D.C. Chapter, formerly the East Coast Chapter, formed in 2014 as one of the first ChIPs chapters! It connects nearly 200 members who gather for events focused on networking, professional development, legal education and more. The chapter is proud to collaborate with BEACON on its Startup Law 101 event for women entrepreneurs and to co-host the annual Haute Tech event in New York.
