SPEAKERS
Kelli Powell
Kelli currently works at Moderna, where she holds the title of Senior Director, Patent Litigation. In her role she serves as a legal advisor and strategic business partner on patent litigation and related matters for the company. Kelli joined Moderna from WilmerHale where she practiced in the Boston office. Her patent litigation experience is wide-ranging—while in private practice, she represented and counseled a variety of pharmaceutical, biotechnology clients, as well as communications and technology companies. During her legal career she has also clerked for the Honorable David Barron of the First Circuit, served as a Special Assistant District Attorney in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, and spent five years as an adjunct professor at Boston College Law School. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the of the Massachusetts Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and was recently appointed to the Rules Advisory Committee for the US Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
Kelli received her Bachelor’s degree from Brown University and her JD from Boston College Law School. Kelli is originally from (Western) Massachusetts and currently lives in Cambridge.

Yvonne Lee
Yvonne is a counsel at WilmerHale whose practice focuses on litigation and prosecution of patent matters involving technologies such as computer software and hardware, mobile devices, wireless communications, computer graphics, networked and distributed systems, power converters, mechanical devices, and cybersecurity. She has represented clients in patent infringement litigation in US federal courts and participated in multiple inter partes and covered business method reviews at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. Yvonne is a Boston Patent Law Association committee member and serves as co-chair of the Boston ChIPs Chapter with Monica Grewal. Prior to law school, Yvonne worked as a consultant for the University of Southern California’s Integrated Media Systems Center. She also toured as a concert pianist, performing solo and chamber music throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. Yvonne received her Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego, a Master’s degree and Graduate Diploma from the New England Conservatory of Music, and a JD from UC Berkeley School of Law.
