Presented by the Chicago & Indianapolis Chapters of ChIPs
  • 12:00pm – 1:15pm ET
  • Virtual
  • In 2021, Chicago and Indianapolis hosted a discussion that included Diversity Lab and Burford Capital to discuss their thoughts and gather “HARD” ideas from ChIPsters. The response was overwhelming. Working together, ChIPsters formulated several pages outlining the barriers women face followed by concrete solutions to move the needle. ChIPsters discussed unconscious bias, leadership, mentorship, and called for the need to address such concrete issues as obtaining fair origination credit and engagement by men.

Please join the Chicago and Indianapolis chapters of ChIPs as they revisit the commitments made in 2021 to “Do Something Hard” and have a conversation about what went well, what didn’t, and where we can continue to move the needle in 2022 and beyond. We’ll start off with a few words from Diversity Lab, a review of ChIPsters ideas from 2021, and engage in small groups discussions on where to go from here. Just as we did last time, we’ll keep track. We’ll end with a summary of discussion points from the small groups and every participant will receive an accounting of all of the ideas discussed and debated in the small group format.
